The Speaking book

Well the sales on the Abbey are ticking along with the days rolling by who knows, I knew this was no scheme to get rich lol, its something which I did to give me a focus although now its something which I really enjoy.  I have currently recorded the first 7 chapters of Cursed the Hunter Inside and I am finding far more confidence as I move forward, using changes in the voice to depict different characters is coming far more naturally now and seems to be natural each change in the voice being done subconsciously rather than being a conscious choice. Well, its been a few exciting days, my first book The Abbey by Jacy Morris has been published on audible which was so exciting.  My second book is still awaiting audio checks by ACX, and I have recorded the first 6 chapters of the new audio book Cursed the hunter inside so things are going really well.  Once these are finished I am going to keep pushing and getting more and more as this is something which I really enjoy doing.  Not only do I find it a great way to read new and varied books which I wouldn't necessarily pick straight off the bat but I also find it hugely gratifying taking something which is written on a page and painting the picture audibly for the listener to help them see the vision in front of them.   I have also found the sheer amount of learning I have had to do is incredible just from a technical stand point making the recordings and structure as clean and crisp as possible to give the listeners as much pleasure from the title as I can. Well I have been given the opportunity to work with another member of ACX, producing a new audio book ready for publication.  Its called Cursed: The Hunter Inside by Casey M.Millette.  Its another trip into the fantasy, thriller which seems to be the genre which I really enjoy performing in.  Wish me luck and I will let you know when it will be available.

Well I have started a fund me campaign to try and generate the money needed to update and improve my equipment to help me get more cut through with some books as some people have commented on the quality of the recording so here goes  gf.me/u/yg4ryh

Well, I have now completed a second book called Pinnacle Solutions by Jon Castle which was very interesting with lots of twists and turns.  It made me think about how we are all vulnerable to the world in which we exist connected as we are by the internet and computers, phones and the various other forms of digital communication which we have.  It was fascinating how the story changed and morphed as it went on I would recommend it to anyone who likes that sort of the dark mystery which normally you associate with pre internet books but has been used so very well in a modern setting, hopefully it will be published and up for sale very soon. The Abbey has passed the Quality Control review by ACX so should be out very soon watch this space along with my facebook and twitter accounts for information about when this is available for purchase and I will keep you updated.
