Updates and Exciting news

Well, its been a few exciting days, my first book The Abbey by Jacy Morris has been published on audible which was so exciting.  My second book is still awaiting audio checks by ACX, and I have recorded the first 6 chapters of the new audio book Cursed the hunter inside so things are going really well.  Once these are finished I am going to keep pushing and getting more and more as this is something which I really enjoy doing.  Not only do I find it a great way to read new and varied books which I wouldn't necessarily pick straight off the bat but I also find it hugely gratifying taking something which is written on a page and painting the picture audibly for the listener to help them see the vision in front of them.  

I have also found the sheer amount of learning I have had to do is incredible just from a technical stand point making the recordings and structure as clean and crisp as possible to give the listeners as much pleasure from the title as I can.

Another strange point which I had never thought of before is I am also leaving a part of me for the future because lets be honest once something is posted on the big scary internet it never dies meaning I am now forever and always in place within the realm of reading and literature in way that I never thought was possible.

The final and most important fact of the matter is that I enjoy doing it so that makes for something far more important in my eyes.

The stretch

In my 'day job' I am often talked to about the stretch, and this got me to thinking. There are stretches every day in life some of which are normal and others are not, we all have things which we are more comfortable with and things which we aren't but we still sometimes have to 'stretch' ourselves to achieve them. At work it is normally around confrontation or putting myself forward as I tend to thrive in the back ground being quiet and getting on with things without fanfare which for a manager is strange I know we normally want to be in the forefront showing what we can achieve.  Personally I prefer to empower my team to deliver the role for me without me having to wave a flag showing how great I am. Busy Busy

Well, I have now completed a second book called Pinnacle Solutions by Jon Castle which was very interesting with lots of twists and turns.  It made me think about how we are all vulnerable to the world in which we exist connected as we are by the internet and computers, phones and the various other forms of digital communication which we have.  It was fascinating how the story changed and morphed as it went on I would recommend it to anyone who likes that sort of the dark mystery which normally you associate with pre internet books but has been used so very well in a modern setting, hopefully it will be published and up for sale very soon. The Abbey has passed the Quality Control review by ACX so should be out very soon watch this space along with my facebook and twitter accounts for information about when this is available for purchase and I will keep you updated.
